Elizabeth J. Hotten (37) and
Amy L. Hotten (19), both listed as stepdaughters. Sarah E. Trigg is his wife.
Sarah Esther Hotten was widowed in 1878 and had daughters Elizabeth
and Amy. Age 19 indicates birth four years after
her
‘father’s’ death. The assumption must be that Amy was illegitimate.
