Mrs. Nelly M. [Hotten] Cowley

68 Victor Rd., formerly a professional singer, dies Sunday evening at her home. For the past 20 years she has been a resident of the twon of Farmington. Earlier she had lived at Anchor Rd., Clifton Springs.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Weld Funeral Home with Roger Greer, Fisrt Reader of the First Christian Church, Canadaigu, officiating.

Burial will be at Chapman Cemetery, Orleans Rd. Friends may call at the Weld Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. today and 1-2 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.

Born in England, Mrs. Cowley had sung professionally prior to and during World war I. She was employed by several theatre companies including Loew’s, Keith Albeey and Pantages. She sang in South Africa, France, england, Germany and Italy. During World War I she entertained the troops bith overseas and in this country.

Following her marriage to Leslie Cowley on 1924 she resided in this area.

Survivors include Mr. Cowley and several nieces and nephews.
