Family Tree Home Page
This website was not intended to be a genealogy site when launched in August 2006, its prime purpose being to provide a home for family photographs and documents some of which are over 100 years old. As such it seemed natural to place at its head the oldest photographs available of my direct ancestors, Walter Sidney Barker and George Hotten, my father’s and mother’s grandfathers respectively.

However the decision to provide navigation in a family tree fashion and include the whole of a
family tree tracing the Hotten’s ancestry from 1654 which came into my possession in 1981, has led to a great deal of genealogical data being included and this page now sits in the middle of more than 5,000 individuals. It is possible to navigate to every one of them from both Walter and George (below) or you may start at the beginning of each family by going to the Families Index. The Site Map provides access to many more Indices.
