Leslie Knight - 138 Squadron

After training Leslie was sent to 138 Squadron (Special Operations Executive) as an engineer progressing after much study to a commission. SOE specialised in dropping spies into Europe and supplies to the resistance movements in France and elsewhere. His only known mission over enemy territory is recorded here.

Whilst stationed at Tempsford, Leslie was billeted nearby at 52 Bury Hill, Potton and studied for his Officer’s examinations.
