A Fête at Velmead School
Iain looks over the school grounds while neighbours man stalls and Kirsty goes shopping.
Someone coughs up the price of a motorbike ride and Iain dons his helmet.
One push and he is off. (Iain learned to ride a two wheel bike at the age of three!)
A couple of goes around the obstacle course...
... and it’s all over. Meanwhile the Parachute Regiment’s Band strikes up with a guest trumpeter.
Iain, a bit of a trumpeter himself, gets the fete programme signed by children’s entertainer Roy Castle.
Not to be outdone, Mother does the same.
Roy had attended to help raise funds for re-equipping the school after the
arson attack.
