Sports and Gymnastic Displays

Summer 1978

Kirsty after coming third in the 100 yard race. She dashed ahead of all the other runners and about three yards from the finishing line looked over her shoulder and stopped. She let two runners pass her and then crossed the line herself. When asked why she had behaved in such a bizarre manner she replied “Well I have won all the practice runs during the past week so it wouldn’t be fair to win again today”.
