Grace Violet Lilian Hulme

In this photograph Grace bears a remarkable resemblance to her daughter Winnie born some seven years after this picture would have been taken.
However it is considered to be Grace for the following reasons...

The original is marked as being Grace on the reverse by her daughter Vera.
The locket worn is known to have belonged to Grace and she gave it to Vera not Winnie.
The hair is dark whereas Winnie’s at a similar age was fair.
The hair styling is more similar to that worn in 1912 than 1937.
The clothes worn are more appropriate to the same era as is the presentation of the photograph.
