Kirsty
shows off her digital camera to
Olive
and with which she took
these pictures. Ian provides the tea and an itinerant
French conjurer does his best for Anglo-French relations.
Ken Livingwotsit had closed the underground to make life a
misery for tourists wanting to watch the Queen Troop the Colour and
octogenarians intent on serious retail therapy. Hence the walk along Villiers
Street to chance our arm on the No.11 bus. The bus arrival announcement panel
said we had to wait 15 minutes but the bus turned up in just three. Aint
technology wonderful!
Peter Jones and other fashion shops got a good going over but the only place
that extracted money from us was an Italian restaurant called Dinos. It wasnt
as good as the prices would suggest but it was a welcome break for the footsore.
There was an art exhibition in the Kings Road but it was a
bit too ultra modern to tempt our birthday girl. A black cloud chased us on to a
passing bus and by a circuitous route we eventually found ourselves near Tower
Bridge as it began to get dark. The camera lies; it was 9pm.
