It was a late start to the day as it takes time to assemble at Malcolm’s house but it doesn't take long to drive into rural Kent.
We first stopped for a lunch at ‘Ye Olde Leather Bottle’ pub in Cobham, said to be one of Charles Dickens’ regular haunts. Afterwards we looked into the 13th century church just visible in the background of the first of these photographs but it was far too dark inside for photography. Behind it were some Alms Houses dating from the 16th century.

Carol, Ian and Rosemary are pictured above.

The entrance to the Rochester cathedral grounds and the tea and cake shop which we patronised straight away as it was due to close at 4.30.

…and admired the organ. By the time we came out it was raining and dull. An excuse for indulging in Olive’s favourite hobby; browsing small shops.
