Studio photographs
Despite expectations to the contrary there are few formal portraits of
Olive,
Leslie and their mother
Gladys. Perhaps Olive has a store of them hidden away. Tripping off to
Jerome’s certainly appears to have been popular when there was a new baby to show off to
father still abroad in the war. The fact that mother was from the
Hotten family
where formal portraiture appears to have been a family tradition probably helps explain that.
School photos donˆt really count as studio photographs but some may be good for a laugh.
