In 1958 a fortnight was spent in a caravan on a cliff top overlooking the fishing village of Beer.
Pages 1 and 2 are in black and white and Pages 3 is in colour.
Beer was a sleepy Devon village with little more than a single road through the picturesque village leading down to the beach on which a number of fishing boats plied their trade.
On one occasion we took a trip on one and came back with several mackerel which were cooked in the caravans primitive kitchen.
Breakfast time.
Leslie,
Vera,
Rosemary and
Malcolm. The radio was hired from a village shop and ate up batteries rather quickly.
Relaxing outside the caravan.
The path on the right is not leading to Beer; that may be seen
here. This one is possibly nearer Exmouth which we also visited;
note the much darker cliffs.
