Alfred in the family tree
Although little of is known of Alfred’s origins a number of
documents relating to his employment survive. These have been divided into those
from the 1890s and before the 1914-18 war, his time at Woolwich Arsenal and his
negotiations for his ‘repatriation’ to Burma during the following two years and
those relating to his time in Burma.
