The Blue Bird On 26th June 1981 The Fleet News devoted a whole page ** to its coverage of a production of Maurice Maeterlinck’s ‘The Blue Bird’ at Fleet’s Civic Hall. Kirsty and her friend Andrea Bolitho took the lead roles of Tyltl and Mytl respectively. Some amateur photos of the show are available here.

Wizard of Oz In 1983 Kirsty and Andrea Bolitho staged their own production of ‘The Wizard Of Oz’ in the Crookham Village Hall. The Fleet News covered the event.

Young London Ballet The Star, a local free newspaper features Kirsty and Andrea’s success in being accepted into The London Young Ballet. 12th January 1984 Young London Ballet The Fleet News’ regular Entertainments & Public Events feature gives top billing to Kirsty and her friend Andrea after winning places at the Young London Ballet Company.

Stage and Ballet Festival The Fleet and District Courier. Success at the Camberley Stage and Ballet Festival.

1985
Puss in Boots The Fleet News features the cast of “Puss in Boots” at the Camberley Civic Hall.

1st November 1985
Camberley Pantomime The Courier, a local free sheet that doesn’t bother to date its pages, features the auditions for Camberley’s pantomime. An advertisement on another page says the pantomime will run from 21st December until Saturday 11th January. They fail to mention the year but January 11th was a Saturday in 1986. Gilmour School of Dancing An unidentified local newspaper (most likely The Fleet News) features pupils from The Gilmour School of Dancing.
