‘Cove Court’ at the back which dominated the view and the rear of No. 67.
The old television aerial (Band I BBC only) is pointing in the wrong direction. Contrast it with that
below on the Aldrich’s house. They not only have a Band I aerial but also Band III for ITV.
Nos. 69 and 71. Also a view in the opposite direction towards Minley
Road including the oak tree which provided acorns and a ready made climbing frame for daring young lads.
Which neighbour wore long underpants? Looks like the Craigs to me!

Olive most weekends.
Vera Knight feeds a lost fledgling in an area that was always called ‘the backway’. There are more photographs
of the bird feeding episode here, not because the bird is
particularly interesting but the background clutter may be.
