The 2006 Rally introduced us to a ‘new’ bus, a 1950 vintage Dennis Lance K3. Kathryn, Marion and Rosemary wait for it to start its journey to Chawton.

Honora and Kathryn (the driver’s wife and niece respectively) get shaken over the rear wheels; as did the photographer who took many pictures to get one that is reasonably sharp.
The journey to Chawton was soon completed. We parked for ten minutes outside Jane Austen’s house and then returned to Alton.
