In 2008 we chose to go to the
Farnborough Air Show which clashed with the bus rally but in 2009 we were back in Alton.
It rained a little as we
arrived at 1pm and it rained very heavily just after we left at 5.30, but in
between it was dry. All the regular crowd picnicked on the bus to keep away from the strong breeze…
…and afterwards took a long ride to
Chawton and Medstead on
the front seat of the old Dennis Lance bus. As usual we had
ice cream afterwards.
Marion’s grandchildren squabbled over who should be in charge of the steering wheel once we got back.
